The Round House School is a one form entry school which opened in September 2008 on the Loves Farm development. The school currently has capacity for 210 pupils, but Phase 2 will see the expansion of the school to cater for up to 420 pupils.
A unique opportunity has arisen and we are looking to appoint an outstanding FS and KS1 teacher to join our fantastic team.
The successful candidate will be required to teach our Foundation Stage class in the first instance, to cover the maternity leave of our current FS practitioner. Our Foundation Stage was judged to be good by Ofsted in February 2010 and we are looking for someone who can build on these high standards. On her return, late in the summer term, the class organisation for September 2011 will be determined. Our projected growth will ensure that this post can be sustained.
You will need to be:
• A skilled FS practitioner
• Flexible
• Innovative
• Committed to the development of the school and its community
• Able to respond positively to change
• Aware of your potential to grow with the school and develop your role within it
• Keen to offer subject leadership
• Self motivated with high expectations of self and others
We can offer you:
• A new, fully equipped workplace
• A positive, caring learning environment
• An opportunity to make a significant contribution to the development of the school
If you are looking for an exciting, challenging opportunity to develop your career and to participate in creating an outstanding school then do contact Chris Tuff, the Headteacher to arrange an informal chat. Due to the unusual nature of this appointment, a discussion with the Headteacher is highly recommended, but she has no more available diary slots for school visits.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The appointment is subject to the receipt of satisfactory references and an enhanced CRB check.
Please contact the Headteacher for further information and an application pack. Packs will only be available by email.
Closing date is noon on Wednesday 22nd September, and interviews will be held on Friday 1st October.
