We work with Academies nationwide and are very experienced in dealing with all complex HR matters, including first and second generation TUPE issues relating to local terms and conditions of employment of staff in the education sector.

If you are a Community, Voluntary Controlled, Foundation or Voluntary Aided school looking to convert to an Academy we can help you with the statutory TUPE Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) process.

If you are a sponsor (or from a Project Management Company supporting a sponsor) we are happy to discuss how we can help you with the Academy conversion process.

We are used to working with a variety of Schools and Academies and are not bound by traditional solutions. Working alongside the Senior Management team and Governing Body, we can advise on developing new terms and conditions of employment for staff in order to ensure that the Academy is highly regarded in the local community and as a fair employer by your employees.

As part of our integrated payroll service for academies, we are committed to ensuring that all monthly pension returns are submitted directly to the relevant authorities for Local Government Pensions or via the Employer Portal for Teachers’ Pensions. This includes informing them of starters and leavers and a breakdown of the monthly contributions paid over on behalf of the academy. Through our portal, there are a number of tools available to help manage the information required by academies to be able to report, particularly for the information required for a Teachers’ Pensions audit.
