The Pathfinder Church of England Primary School is looking for a teacher who will inspire, ignite imagination and instil a love of learning in our new cohort of Reception children in September 2019. This class will see us expand to a two form Reception class in only our third year of being open.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an Early Years practitioner to play a pivotal role in setting up and developing an Early Years provision in a brand new classroom; alongside the existing Reception class. If you have the vision and drive to lead on a new environment and education for those beginning their primary education, then this is the job for you! Joining our school at this formative stage provides potential for ambitious teachers to grow quickly into middle or senior leadership posts.
Our successful candidate will:
be a highly motivated good to outstanding teacher
be innovative and ambitious
have high expectations for their own practice and of the children they teach
be able to contribute to a strong, inclusive and cohesive ethos reflecting the school’s Christian character
Our vision for The Pathfinder Church of England Primary School is to be at the forefront of developing new approaches to learning, embedding the ‘mastery’ approach to primary phase teaching and learning. Children will be inspired to embed the school’s values and develop personal character through additional wider curriculum activities and opportunities which enable them to grow in confidence and cultivate thinking skills and creative potential beyond typical expectations.
To do this, we will need to grow our committed, enthusiastic and inspiring teaching team, surrounded by dedicated support staff, that work closely together. Maintaining the vision we have for The Pathfinder requires hard work, and a creative, can-do attitude.
For an informal conversation about this post or to arrange a visit to the school please contact the Headteacher, Stephanie Redgate, via Head@pathfinderschool.org.uk or by calling 01954 584801. Details are also available via the school website; www.pathfinderschool.org.uk
Applications are to be sent, in the strictest of confidences, to Head@pathfinderschool.org.uk by the closing dated advertised.
The Pathfinder School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment. Any successful applicant will be required to undertake a DBS disclosure.
