Are you an experienced Primary School Teacher, aspiring to become an influential SENDCo across the whole school?
Part Time SENCO - 3 days a week with the option of working 5 days across the school by negotiation.
In its recent inspection Bushmead was recognised by Ofsted as a Good school in all areas where “Pupils who have special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and those that are disadvantaged make good progress. Staff provide a wide range of support for pupils’ learning and well-being”
We are looking to appoint an experienced SENDCo OR a highly inspirational teacher with a passion for children with SEND to join our team. Our THRIVE values are at the centre of all we aim to achieve for children from our community supporting a nurture based approach to our provision. In order to provide this, we are looking for candidates with:
1. A commitment to a nurture based approach to supporting children throughout school
2. Up to date and relevant training, experience and qualifications (support and funding given to achieve the SENCo Award)
3. A commitment to securing high levels of progress, achievement and self-esteem for all children
4. Experience of liaising with parents and strong administration skills
5. Over a year's experience as a SENCO or working with SEND children
This is a part time role working 3 days a week as SENDCo, with working days negotiable. Full time would be considered with 2 days working in school.
The successful candidate will be working with “Leaders and Governors that have clear aspirations for the school and for the development of a caring and nurturing environment” (Ofsted 2019) making this an ideal opportunity for someone that strives to have a positive impact on children and their futures.
Visits to the school are encouraged, the Head Teacher will be pleased to show you around and share the schools’ vision.
