Non Teaching Vice Principal Post
At Fulbridge, we are the curators of the next generation. We strive for excellence; continuously innovating and pushing the boundaries of conventional teaching methods. Our structured, supportive network provides students and staff with a deep rooted foundation which enables them to fulfil their potential. Learning at Fulbridge is creative, tangible and colourful. Join us if you want to do things differently, and support our mission to deliver the highest quality of education to every student.
We are seeking to appoint an ambitious non-teaching Vice Principal, who has the experience, skill and enthusiasm to be part of our popular and successful Academy from September 2019. This is an exciting opportunity to join our leadership team in the Academy’s journey within the Four Cs MAT. We have excellent facilities, a caring and welcoming school community with committed staff and a supportive leadership team.
The successful candidate will be supported by the Trust to bring their knowledge and experience to ensure a continuing programme of dynamic school improvement. The role involves working alongside the Principal and Senior Leadership Team to develop our strategic vision for the curriculum and learning.
Applicants should be excellent classroom practitioners in their own right; as well as being able to work as part of a team, roll up their sleeves and inspire others to excel.
Purpose of the role:
To take responsibility for the leadership and management of a variety of whole school areas and to promote and be involved in the wider life of the school community.
To lead on all aspects of curriculum, assessment and teaching and learning from nursery to year six.
What are we looking for?
Someone who is:
Responsive, loyal and a good team player.
Enthusiastic, flexible and socially skilful.
Competent, competitive and a risk taker.
Consistent, thorough and thoughtful.
What can we offer?
A well researched approach to learning through a thematic, inclusive, creative curriculum.
Friendly and supportive staff and Governors.
An excellent CPD programme and induction for all staff.
Enthusiastic and well behaved children.
For the successful candidates there will be, as part of your induction and ongoing CPD development, a bespoke leadership training programme. We want, not only the children to be the best they can be, but also the staff.
Our aim is to make the education system one to both enjoy and challenge. We wish to bring back the moral purpose of education and that is making a difference to the all round development of children. As important as test results are there is so much more to a successful educational offer. That ‘offer’ is the focus of our educational rationale.
We are looking for staff who embrace a truly broad and balanced curriculum approach. One that offers high quality education in the basics - and that includes the Arts, Science, Outdoor Education and PE; as well as Maths, Oracy, Reading and Writing.
To achieve our dream we need staff and senior leaders who have a passion for education and the need to make a difference. A difference in terms of both child development and staff development.
Please apply if you wish to join our exciting, creative and innovative journey. Education is so much more that what the system has become in some sectors: commercial schemes, government initiatives, fads and endless paperwork. We are looking for two senior leaders who will make not only children’s lives better but also those of the staff who teach them.
The salary range will be from L11 to L15 on the Leadership Scale.
We encourage all interested applicants to visit if they are thinking about applying for a post.
Fulbridge Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children expecting all staff to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure and two successful references.
