Position: LEARNING MENTOR
Salary: Grade 7 - 9 subject to qualifications and experience
Hours: 37 hours per week / Term time only + 5 Professional Days
Required for: As soon as possible
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, highly motivated, inspirational Learning Mentor to join and enhance our pastoral team. You will work with our pupils, parents and outside agencies in order to overcome barriers to learning, contributing to raising standards of attainment for our pupils. As a Learning Mentor you will adopt a holistic approach in order to provide support to individuals and groups. The role will also involve some class cover.
Highlees believes that all children can achieve and our team strives to bring out the best in every child. It is vital that you understand the needs of our pupils and local community and can demonstrate cultural sensitivity. You will need to be enthusiastic, caring and well organised with good communication skills. Experience of working with children of primary school age would be advantageous.
