Due to the impending retirement of our current Headteacher, the governing body of Hunsbury Park Primary School are looking to appoint a committed, motivational and dynamic Headteacher to build upon the current success of the school and to help it move forwards with its continued school improvement. We are seeking someone who can continue to lead our children on their journey towards becoming happy, confident, safe, responsible and successful learners. We wish to find someone who will be committed to further developing a true community school that has positive and supportive links and relationships across the wider community. We wish to continue to foster and develop our reputation for being a welcoming, inclusive and nurturing school that supports our children and their families.
Hunsbury Park Primary School is a two-form entry school with 324 pupils on role which is set in the urban community of West Hunsbury, Northampton. We are a school with very strong values, are passionate about realising our children’s potential and ensuring that progress is made via our highly supportive and compassionate environment.
The school is fortunate to have a nurturing resourced provision for SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) within the school building. One of our SENCO’s manages this provision, alongside a small team of behaviour specialists, in order to support those children identified as having SEMH needs. All of these children are taught in the classroom but will have access to the provision, its resources and staff as part of their individual programmes. Staff are experienced in supporting parents and carers too and seek to deliver a range of enabling programmes, advice and training that compliment school practices.
