Music Teacher required from 1st September 2020
0.26 FTE (8 ½ hours per week) – Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons
Temporary appointment - Fixed Term to 31st August 2021 with the possibility of becoming permanent
Pay scale: MPS/UQT, dependent on qualifications and experience
The Governors of St Louis Catholic Academy wish to appoint a talented and caring music teacher to join our successful and professional team. You will be employed three afternoons per week to teach the music curriculum from Year 1 through to Year 6 as part of our PPA team. As subject leader for music throughout the school, you will also be expected to lead and co-ordinate all music activities in which St Louis children participate.
The successful candidate will:
• have children at the heart of everything they do;
• demonstrate outstanding music subject knowledge and teaching practice
within the National Curriculum;
• have high expectations of themselves and the children;
• be committed to their own professional development;
• be highly-organised, punctual, and reliable;
• be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the
development of music.
We welcome applications from teachers of all faiths or none, who are able to support the School’s Christian ethos and enable our pupils to live life to the full.
This post would be particularly suitable for a musician with a range of talents who is experienced in teaching younger children, but all applications will be considered on merit against the person specification.
