Lime Trust, is recruiting a Trust Community Engagement Officer to join its friendly and hard-working Schools based in our Peterborough hub.

We are looking to appoint a dynamic Community Engagement Officer with the passion and commitment to help drive the Lime Trust schools to become outstanding. We want to become our schools to set standards and procedures for others to follow.

The primary purpose of this role is to maximise the reach of the service to families and children in vulnerable circumstances. To co-ordinate and deliver outreach drop within the School. To assess family needs and provide direct support to those families. To lead on service user involvement by educating, supervising and developing both parents and young people to support active outreach. To seek development opportunity for the service in order to address unmet need – creatively finding additional resources and working in partnership.

We have high expectations and a strong commitment to raising standards. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Peterborough Hub School’s team, working closely with the Headteachers and Senior Leadership Teams within those Schools. Enabling the schools to continue on their journeys towards excellence. Our children are delightful, eager to learn and they make Lime Trust schools vibrant and fulfilling places to work.

The successful candidate will have

• Experience of working with vulnerable children and families
• Good communication skills with a positive and enthusiastic approach
• Be willing to work as part of a team
• Have experience of working in a school or local authority environment
• Enjoy supporting children and their families.

Salary £24,700 to £27,905 (FTE) (salary will be pro-rota for Term Time Only)
Grade Peterborough grade 8 (pt 19-24)
Hours Full-time (36 hours per week)
Contract Permanent TTO x 2 weeks
Location School based

The Trust provides a strong culture of collaboration, support and development, together with high expectations for staff and pupils alike. The role will work across Lime Academy Abbotsmede, Parnwell and Watergall.
