Spalding Parish Church of England Day School, ideally located in the historic market town of Spalding, is a large and growing primary school at the heart of the community. We’re looking for a passionate and ambitious school leader to grow with us and develop their career amongst a caring group of colleagues who put children at the heart of all they do. It is a defining moment for the school – having recently become a part of the successful Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust (LAAT). Here at Spalding Parish Church of England Day School we are proud of our recent successes, namely our most recent attainment and progress outcomes in both Key Stage 1 and 2, but there is so much more we wish to achieve at this wonderful school.
It’s an exciting time to join us. We’ve had an amazing 2019 - the whole staff team responded with passion and dedication to disappointing results in previous years. We’re proud to say this year’s results are the school’s best and we know there’s more to come. As we bounce back from the challenges of the past, we’re delighted to have recently joined the Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust (LAAT), a family of 16 schools brought together by a shared vision to improve the life chances of all our children through excellence, exploration and encouragement within a distinct Christian ethos.
As our new Deputy Headteacher, you’ll have strategic responsibility for key aspects of school improvement linked to your strengths and the needs of the school. You’ll bring excellent curriculum knowledge and high expectations to the role as well as the ability to motivate and inspire pupils and staff in equal measure. This is a non-class-based role, but you’ll undoubtedly be an outstanding practitioner who’s able to support the development of staff. Above all, you’ll be willing to embrace new ideas and work collaboratively within our local hub and wider family of schools to realise sustainable, positive change for the children and families we serve. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a school with great potential – you will be part of an exciting improvement journey that could really help shape your career.
We welcome applications from candidates of all faiths and none, although you must be able to convey an understanding and appreciation of the deep and powerful values we hold as a faith trust.
