The Diamond Learning Partnership Trust are looking for a permanent Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant to join Winhills Primary Academy.

Hours 31 hours per week
Work Commitment Monday to Friday 8:45 am - 3:15 pm term time only plus training days, 30 minutes for lunch, plus one hour phase meeting
Start Date 20th April 2020
Salary Range Level 1 A Scale Point 2, FTE (£17,711.00) £14,385.52 (pro-rated amount)

We require an enthusiastic and conscientious Teaching Assistant to join our experienced staff team supporting children in our Early Years Foundation Stage.

Applicants must demonstrate a good knowledge of the requirements of the EYFS, have good planning and observations skills together with experience of working with children in this age-range and have the ability to develop effective relationships with colleagues, children and parents

Ideally you will hold a Level 1 childcare qualification and your aim in EYFS should be centred on giving our young children the best possible start to their life in education.

Every day you will be assisting in teaching language, literacy and numeracy helping the class reach the early learning goals of the national curriculum, along with encouraging good behaviour.

Aside from working with the children, your job also involves setting up and tidying away all activities, analysing and recording each child's progress and talking about it with their parents /carers.

• The ability to manage classes well and deal with challenging behaviour;
