Catering Manager

Payscale: Grade 6 (£19554 FTE)

Hours : 31 per week Term time + 5 days

DEMAT and St Botolph’s are looking to appoint a Catering Manager.

St Botolph’s is on an exciting journey and we would love you to join us!

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and caring Catering Manager to join our highly committed team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the school catering services including the dining hall, ensuring a high quality and professional service is provided to pupils and staff.
Together with their team they will be required to cook and prepare meals daily from scratch using fresh, local and seasonal ingredients, working to food costing’s and menus which meet the Nutrient and Food Standards and the dietary needs of our pupils. They will also prepare the afternoon snack for our after School Club.
They will also be responsible for completing the necessary paperwork, placing orders with suppliers and managing food stocks.

Within the role of Catering Manager they will manage a team of staff and will be responsible for staff appraisals and ensuring that staffing issues are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.

We are looking for someone with

• A good standard of knowledge and skills in catering work.
• Equivalent to NVQ Level 3 in catering or food production and cooking.
• Food hygiene and safety certificate.
• Knowledge of food hygiene procedures.
• IT skills
• Good communication, team working and staff supervisory skills.
