CLASS TEACHER AND LEADER OF ‘THE ARTS’

To start in September 2020

Salary: Main scale + TLR (2.1)

St. John’s is an amazing place to work, somewhere to belong and grow. In our latest inspection, we were credited as an Excellent Church School. If you would like to work in a supportive school where everyone’s talents are nurtured and honed then this is the place for you!

There are many ways in which the school creates a culture of care; all teachers have a school iPad, opportunities to plan as teams, excellent facilities to teach and learn in, and small class sizes. We support staff by giving teachers more PPA time than is nationally allocated and this encourages teachers to plan and think creatively together. Leaders are supported to grow and achieve in their roles through dedicated leadership time and a strong culture of support, challenge and team-work.

As ‘Leader of The Arts’, you would be responsible for continuing to improve our teaching, learning and provision in Art, Music, Dance and Drama. This is an exciting new vacancy within school, as we continue to make strides in developing our curriculum. The successful applicant will be working as part of a wider curriculum team, in monitoring and evaluating our curriculum provision across school.

We value the contribution of all staff in our children’s development, the staff room is a vibrant and well-stocked place; free fruit, tea and coffee encouraging staff to relax and chat. Teachers’ and leaders’ learning and curiosity is fostered by visits to other schools and participating in exciting training opportunities.

Come and have a look at our school and be inspired!

This is a permanent, full-time position.
